Sisonke Papu (KHNYSA) is a multidisciplinary artist, storyteller, and initiated traditional healer (iGqiRha) from Mthatha, South Africa. Working through sound, film, breath, and ancestral memory, he explores Indigenous cosmologies, healing technologies, and the relationship between land, body, and spirit.
His practice bridges elders and youth, ceremony and contemporary art, inviting audiences into states of presence, reflection, and collective remembrance. Founder of ISPILI Network and NgoMa Technologies, Papu collaborates locally and internationally, offering sonic journeys, exhibitions, and workshops that honour African oral traditions while reimagining future cultural modalities. His work is a living portal—rooted, expansive, and deeply relational.
