If there is one constant that makes us feel seamlessly connected to the world and offers us an unconscious sense of stability and orientation, it is the earth’s horizon. It simultaneously circumscribes our physical boundary while rendering the universe infinite. In his essay “Cutting the Horizon”, interdisciplinary architect Raoul Bunschoten claims “the skin of the earth is where we live.”
