Ceramic Public Art: in Empathy
As the relationship between public art and materials in contemporary art garners increasing attention, clay plays an indispensable role. This article discusses the cultural significance and spiritual value of clay in China as through my own artistic practice I have sought to integrate work bearing Chinese cultural symbols within a western discourse.
