Don’t Make it Pretty

Mary Bowron (1933–2017), was an intensely private ceramic artist, painter, and printmaker, who lived to work, doing so until a fall in 2015 left her unable to pursue her passion for clay sculpture, and confined her to a two-year limbo of disablement and enforced reflection. Through it all she maintained an expansive sense of wonder, delighting in the attention of friends, seasonal change, and artistic accomplishment whenever it entered her realm.
