Formation, the 59th annual conference of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) takes place March 26-29, 2025, for the first time in Salt Lake City, Utah. Philosopher and educator John Dewey wrote, “The self is not something ready-made, but something in continuous formation through choice of action.” The conference theme invites participants from throughout the United States and abroad to gather and dig deep into the historical and cultural significance of ceramics worldwide. Core conference programming occurs at the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center in the heart of Salt Lake City.
