Janina Myronova: International Maker

Today there are a group of international ceramic makers who see the world as their marketplace. Often driven by international fairs and Biennial events they are the driving force transforming ceramics into a new artform. Born in Ukraine and based in Poland, ceramic artist Janina Myronova is one such maker.
In 2002 at the age of 14, Myronova started making ceramics in her hometown of Donieck, and has continued ever since. After completing two Masters degrees in ceramics, one at the National Academy of Art (Ukraine) and the other at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Art and Design (Poland), Myronova worked with a ceramic studio at the Institute of Design Kielce (Poland), before returning to the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy to complete her PhD.
