Phil Rogers: Obituary
In 2017 I traveled from Sydney to Canberra in order to become a potter. I say ‘become a potter’ rather than ‘learn pottery’ since this is what I imagined would happen. I would not return to my home city the same person with a newly acquired skill. Instead, I would be a new person, as much transformed from within as anything else.
