Q: Why are my porcelain pots cracking after trimming?
There could be any number of reasons why a porcelain pot would crack starting with the fact that porcelain clay body formulas are typically composed of 50% kaolin, with the remainder 25% feldspar and 25% flint as compared to stoneware clay body formulas having 80% to 85% clays with lesser amounts of feldspar, flint and other raw materials.
