My friend anthony caro passed away in october 2013 at his home in London. He was 89 years old and had achieved great fame as a world-class sculptor. Caro and Roger Mack drove into my studio complex in Pine Plains, New York on a spring day in 1982 having heard that there was an artist living there. We talked about places in the area where they might find sources for steel and steel objects as they were organising the first Triangle Artist’s Workshop at the Mashomack Farm nearby. Caro noticed that I had a number of large rolling carts and asked to borrow some. Mack wanted some brick for a burnout kiln.
