The Illusion of Ke Hegen’s Glazes
The rise of high-temperature color glaze is undoubtedly one of the biggest changes in Jingdezhen in the past decade. These glazes, originally intended for decorating utility objects, have gradually become an important material for ceramicists who paint with glazes. Ke Hegen is a pioneer of this technique and one of the most outstanding artists in Jingdezhen. He first dabbled in ceramics in the early 1980s and is still innovating some 40 years later.
