The maker behind the mask: Jemma Gowland
I came across the work of Jemma Gowland two years ago at the national exhibition Collect which is run by the Craft Council of England and held at Somerset House, London; it was not hard to miss. The historic building is the old repository for government records and has a strange, haunted atmosphere, not unlike her work. But how has she become a member of the British ceramic fraternity?
