The Paper and Porcelain World of Park Jonglin
Park Jongjin creates richly layered vessels using paper towels and porcelain slip. This technique requires him to liquefy the porcelain in water and then apply it to each paper towel, consequently transforming the characteristics of clay. Although this method is impractical to produce functional pottery, it is incomparably better than hand-building and wheel throwing to produce innovative new textures, and expressions, in clay.
