The Universe in a Slurry
I once enjoyed the sound of dissolving clay. It's an incredibly ridiculous thing to say, but there it goes, and it has been so ever since. Despite the possible infringement of copyright laws: dry, discarded, disintegrating clay snaps, crackles, and pops in a pot of water just like frying bacon. It was just escaping air as it was squeezed out of the dried folds of dehydrated shards of pottery. Nothing more, just dirt and water making a little bit of noise. You couldn't hum a few bars, sing along, or become enraptured by the tune, because it's simply the sounds of clay dissolving.
