The Winners of the 13th International Biennial of Ceramics in Manises, Spain
The President de la Generalitat Valenciana Award, worth €5,000, was awarded to Pablo Bellot García, from Spain, for his work titled La vomitera como último acto. The judges summarized that the artist had successfully resolved an ‘accurate expressive solution that the work gives to the theme’. They added that ‘because (of) its aesthetic break, (that is) near to a violent aesthetic, (the work) manages to communicate its commitment within a social context’.
