On the 14th of November 2017 I was fortunate enough to visit the Louvre in Abu Dhabi in its opening week. As I wandered through the various galleries and exhibitions and out to the magnificent outdoor plaza beneath the intricate domed roof designed by Jean Nouvel, I began to realise that I had seen one of the displayed ceramic exhibits before.
