K-12 Exhibition of Student Works – Clay Gulgong 2024
Guidelines for Submissions
Clay Gulgong is excited to continue its celebration of student ceramic works from Years K-12 across Australia. Clay Gulgong 2024 will be exhibiting works from students in a digital showcase.
We are inviting teachers to submit photographs of student ceramic works from K-12. These images will be exhibited as a continuous digital presentation as part of the shop front displays of works in the Gulgong township. This exhibition will be complemented by a selection of K-12 student works that will be displayed as part of this K-12 shop front trail.
The digital presentation will also be able to be viewed on the Clay Gulgong and Mansfield Ceramics website.
The digital presentation will be curated by the Clay Gulgong team. If photographs or slides do not comply with the guidelines, it may not be possible to include these.
Student ceramic works produced since Clay Gulgong 2022 are eligible.
To have your student works included, please use the following guidelines and formats. Also see the sample presentation for guidelines.
. Make a copy of the sample presentation and re-name it with your school’s name.
. Use the format in the slide presentation only including font style and design. Do not alter these.
. Each school can have up to 5 slides
. On each slide you can group up to 3 works from one year group e.g. three works by three students from Year 8
. Photographs need to be taken against a plain white or plain black background only
. Please do not include shots that include images of students at all or art room spaces
. Do not choose a theme
. Images should be 300dpi and in jpeg format.

Photographs must be submitted on Google Slides by sharing with the Clay Gulgong team ( admin@claygulgong.com )
Please ensure that the Clay Gulgong team has access as editors.
If you don’t have access to google slides please email images of student work to admin@claygulgong.com and include the students first name and school name in the filename and our team will prepare the slideshow for you.

Karen King and Felicity Wood are colleagues, teaching Visual Arts at Caroline Chisholm College, Glenmore Park. Felicity is an experienced Visual Arts teacher who has established the Visual Arts department at the College and instigated the programs for ceramics in the Visual Arts curriculum. Felicity has led colleagues in Parramatta Diocese in her work with the Visual Arts Network organising exhibitions of student work and other network events.
Karen is Leader of Learning, Creative Arts at Caroline Chisholm College, Glenmore Park. Over the past 25 years, Karen has
been involved in local, state and national Visual Arts Education, working on syllabus development, HSC examinations and
marking. She has worked with regional groups on professional development and advocacy for Visual Arts. In 2013, Karen
was awarded the COFA NSW Premier’s Visual Arts Teaching Award enabling her to study contemporary artists and architects
whose work has regenerated communities in France, United Kingdom and Japan.
Felicity is an experienced Visual Arts teacher at Caroline Chisholm College, Glenmore Park who has established the
